It's weird watching these cause you never look down the sights, which is a must in BF4.
That's 'cause kills are easy in BLOPS 2. The weapons mostly work exactly like they are supposed to, the knife is awesome, and movement is predictable. It's why I still play- something to do for 20-30 minutes at a time, and it requires no commitment or anything. The shotguns aren't nerfed in any way. Of course, cheaters are still a pisser- but I just leave when that happens. The game is old, so there aren't many players. This fact discourages should-have-been-aborted kids from wanting to pay for cheats- not so many victims to piss off.

Funny you mention the knife, as that's a sore spot in BF4. When you go to knife someone you have to do it from the side or back, otherwise they can counter-knife you and you die, which sucks. If you do get em from behind (or above, if they're prone) then there's a 3-4 second video where you hit the guy with the butt of the knife, stab him in the chest, and take his dog-tags. It's okay if you're not in a fire fight, but will almost always get you killed in a tight arena. A good option (if you're playing support) is to zap 'em with your defib which kills them instantly and is super-embarrassing to boot.

Another difference with BF4 is all the weapons and settings. For instance, BF4 has 13 different shotties, and you can choose from buckshot, darts, slugs, or frag rounds. There's also Assault Rifles (SCAR-H, AK-12) , Carbines (G36, M4), LMG's, PDW's (P90, MP7), Sniper Rifles, Marksman Rifles (RFB), and a dozen knives to choose from. Plus all the different sights and grips and there's hundreds of options. It's pretty fun to pick up weapons and try out what other guys are using, and it gives you good ideas some times.

Another thing that's different-but-the-same is we don't have all the aimbot helicopters and shit like that, but each team can have a commander. The commander looks down on the field and can launch UAV's, counter-UAV's, missile attacks, warn your squad when they're going to get over-run, launch bombers, etc... So there's less aerial-aimbot-faggotry, and you don't rack up points with no-skill kills, but it's still there.

Yeah, I have played it, but I just don't care for the game without the vehicles, lol. The engine seems a little wonky compared to the COD engine, in terms of movement, and the weapons... hmm.

I tried BF4 again last week and I'm just awful at it. I had no idea where to go most of the time and I couldn't kill shit with any of the guns.

BLOPSII keeps a catalog list of recent games, and you can edit one, make a highlight reel, or whatever, and then render it at 720p and automatically upload it to your Youtube page.

I hopped into BLOPS II this morning and got slaughtered.

May start playing a little more if there arent that many cheaters, it feels refreshingly old skool.
